The Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation is a Detroit‑based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people through education, fitness, and opportunity.
Founded in 1991 by Super Bowl Champion and Detroit Lions legend Lomas Brown, the foundation helps students build:

- Access to scholarships and post‑secondary success
Through community partnerships and hands‑on programming, the foundation is changing outcomes—one student at a time.
This golf classic continues a decades‑long tradition of athletes and broadcasters giving back to Detroit youth—dating back to the early 1990s through partnerships with WJR and community leaders.
Today, that legacy lives on through measurable impact and growing reach.
